with Dr. Briar Lee Mitchell

Cue the Applause is a unique program, hosted by Dr. Briar Lee Mitchell and takes a fun, but informative look at Pop Culture and Entertainment. Dr. Mitchell, is herself a unique individual, having spent time with James Cameron in Antarctica, worked for Disney, Universal and Warner Bros. on feature animation, games, and TV shows (Yes! Including Pinky & The Brain). Over 4 decades, Dr. Mitchell had a successful career as a forensic/medical illustrator, and has written several books on a variety of topics, especially True Crime. Her book Serial Killers: Then & Now, has garnered excellent reviews.

About the Host: Dr. Mitchell
holds a master's degree in medical and biological illustration from the
University of California, San Francisco and a doctorate in educational
leadership/higher education. For 43 years she produced illustrations,
animation, research and writing for medical/ forensic projects which
included The Forensic Analysis of the April 11th, 1986 FBI Firefight with
French Andersen, MD. |

Dan Mazur Daniel Lee Mazur is an
American-British mountaineer, expedition leader, and philanthropist who
has summited nine of the world's highest peaks, including Mount Everest
and K2. Renowned for high-altitude rescues—such as saving Roman
Giutashvili (1991), Gary Ball (1992), Lincoln Hall (2006), and Rick Allen
(2018)—he often abandoned summit bids to preserve lives. Mazur co-founded
the Mount Everest Biogas Project and leads humanitarian efforts in Nepal
and Tibet, building schools, clinics, and cultural preservation projects.
He received the 2018 Sir Edmund Hillary Mountain Legacy Medal for
conservation and community service. |

Nichela Traber also known as Artists Avenue Cosplay, is a professional Cosplayer and Costume Designer. She graduated from WWU in 2022 with a Major in Costume Design and a Minor in Business, intending to make this once thought hobby into a full career. She works hard to create magical and out of this world creations with cosplay, while also keeping well within budget; and wants to teach others how to do so as well. Her goal is to open a shop to do just that, and provide the space for cosplayers to create, learn or get help and materials whenever they need. Because let's face it, there isn't one and there honestly should be. |

Jim Durocher A long time resident of Florida Jim Durocher has spent countless hours kayaking and sailing the azure waters in and around that tropical state. His time spent there is for pleasure, but also, for helping with finding better ways to protect the environment especially around Merritt Island near Cape Canaveral. Jim is also part of a great group of people who put on the Native Rhythms Festival each year at Wickham Park in Melbourne, Florida. The event celebrates Native American music and culture, particularly voice and flute. |
